We run supported trials with customers to help them unlock the potential of a connected workforce, get in touch with us to discuss further and we’ll be happy to help.

Our customers are mainly within Industrial sectors such as Construction, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Energy, and Infrastructure. However really we can support anyone where communication is critical, particularly in high noise environments, we see Mobilus being deployed in Logistics, Shipping, Defence and many other sectors.

At present we can ship to various global locations including USA, Canada, EU, UK, and Japan. For other locations just get in touch with us as we are always adding new locations to the Mobilus roster. 

What is your lead time from order to shipping?We work closely to support our customers through the process of adopting Mobilus Labs technologies and usually run demo’s and site trials prior to major orders, however saying that, our standard lead time is around 2 weeks, and you’ll be kept up to date on your order all the way through the process.

As our clients are usually aiming to create a connected workforce we usually ship with a minimum order of 10 units. However do get in touch if you have specific requirements.

mobiWAN is connected to devices using bluetooth, these include smartphones, tablets, laptops and bluetooth enabled walkie talkies.

No, mobiWAN is a bluetooth connected device and uses the connection of the phone or radio it is joined to.

The mobiWAN charging port is located under a rubber cap on the right side of the main housing of the mobiWAN. Plug the headset into a 5V USB power charger using an USB – C cable.  Alternatively, any other 5V, 45W USB-C cable and charger should work.

mobiWAN takes 2-3 hours for a full charge.

This can vary with usage, such as volume level and how continuous the audio output is.  On average, the battery should last up to 8 hours of continuous playback time on a single charge. 

The mobiWAN is currently designed for use with the MSA V-gard series of helmets, however we are able to adapt to other helmet types, just get in touch to discuss further.

They are for you!  A gift from us, to protect your ears in noisy environments as well as demonstrate the “ear free” usage of the mobiWAN bone conduction technology. By using these earplugs, you not only block dangerous noise from damaging your ears, but you will also improve the volume and acoustics of the bone conduction vibration delivered to your inner ear.

Yes, the mobiWAN device is rated IP65, protecting against sweat and light rains. 

The output volume can be adjusted by the physical volume buttons on the right side of the device.

By separate single taps  increase the volume up to the Max Volume at which point you will hear an audio notification 2beeps. At max volume, an additional tap will reset the volume to the initial default volume allowing you to cycle through the volume settings.

To turn off the mobiWAN, hold down the power button for 3 seconds or more, then release.

The Left Button on the mobiWAN allows you to send PTT commands to supporting apps such as Mobilus mobiTALK.

1. For hands-free communication, a single tap of the Left Button turns ON and OFF the PTT control.
Tap once to initiate PTT ON and then tap again once to turn PTT OFF.

2. For a traditional PTT mode, tap and hold the Left Button for more than 1 second and PTT transmission will turn ON. Once the button is released the PTT will turn OFF.
When Left Button is on hold for more than 52 seconds, PTT will turn OFF automatically.

Whilst our core sectors are industrial environments where a hard hat is commonly worn, we also have a version of the mobiWAN which is held in place by a headband. Contact us to find out more.

Yes the mobiWAN is intrinsically safe and is certified C1D2.

Either! The mobiRADIO is available in UHF and VHF ranges and can be programmed to match existing radio channels.

The mobiRADIO has been developed to operate with a wide range of Android phones with the flexible webbing. For more information on phone compatibility please contact info@mobiluslabs.com and a representative will be in touch.

The radio aspect of the mobiRADIO has a range of circa 2km.
When using digital channels such as a cellular network or WiFi network the range is unlimited as long as you are connected.

The dial and button on the back of the mobiRADIO is also the power button! Hold the button for 1 second and you will see the LED flash as the device powers up.

You can do this in two ways, 1) the multi function dial on the back of the mobiRADIO will cycle through the radio channels as you rotate it. The device will provide audio queues telling you which channel you have selected. 2) You can select the radio channel from the app display within mobiTALK.

PTT can be triggered in a number of ways:

  1. Using the PTT button on the mobiWAN headset (if using).
  2. Using the PTT button present on many ruggedized smart phones.
  3. Using the mobiTALK app by pressing toggleing the Transmit Button on the app.

User numbers are unlimited! mobiTALK allows for an unlimited number of users, to use an unlimited number of groups.

Yes, mobiTALK let’s you speak to a specific individual, as well as to your designated groups.

mobiTALK is designed to be deployed across a whole site, you can create an unlimited number of digital voice channels. For example you could have a channels for ‘Crane Operations’, ‘Machine Operators’, ‘Supervisors’ and a ‘Whole Site Channel’ for emergency communications.

Using the smart phone gps the map functionality allows you to see where your team are on the map. You can then tap on an individual to open up communications. A great tool if you need to quickly find someone who has eyes on a particular part of the site.

Yes, mobiTALK works as a stand alone app, with or without using a mobiWAN or mobiRADIO. Perfect for users that need to speak to site teams but are not on site themselves.

It depends, if you are using mobiTALK on a smartphone alone, then the smartphone will need connectivity for example cellular or WiFi connectivity for digital voice channels. However, if you connect a mobiRADIO to the smartphone then you can also use mobiTALK radio channels, even when you have no cellular or WiFi connectivity.

At present moiTALK is available on Android only.

We will set you up with a site administrator who can control, add and delete channels and allocate licenses to users. A Mobilus Labs SuperAdmin will help you with setup to make sure that you are ready to go friction free!

This can be managed through the Mobilus Labs administration dashboard. Mobilus Labs will set up your project admin who can then set up user permissions and chat groups as needed.

Yes, the Administration Dashboard allows you to manage all these actions so you can assign licenses and change users as needed.

No, the designated project administrators have access to the dashboard, providing security over the use of the Mobilus solutions.

Of course, we have Super Administrators who will be able to assist with any queries or set-up needs you might have.

The mobiWAN_TR charging port is located under a rubber cap on the right side of the main housing of the mobiWAN_TR. Use the USB-C charger, regional adapter (if applicable), and cable provided with your Trimble XR10 with HoloLens 2 kit to charge the device.  Alternatively, any other 5V, 45W USB-C cable and charger should work.

This can vary with usage, such as volume level and how continuous the audio output is.  On average, the battery should last up to 6 hours of continuous playback time on a single charge. 

mobiWAN_TR takes 2-3 hours for a full charge.

Please note that the number on the back of the mobiWAN unit will correspond to the name of the device in the HoloLens pairing wizard.
